First place Arsenal will look to keep the winning streak going this Sunday, but League Title holders Liverpool will be the big challenge. Neither team have lost a match, but Arsenal has the statistical edge with a slightly higher possession %, passing % and 6 pts to Liverpool’s 4.
It will be a battle of world class strikers as Arsenal pack French sniper Samir nasri, Dutch magician Robin Van Persie, Togolese striker Emanuel Adebayor as well as young English talent Theo Walcott. Liverpool pack an Iberian punch with front men Fernando Torres, Alberto Riera, Diego Forlan and Maxi Rodriguez back by the prodigous captain Steven Gerrard.
Some players are saying Arsenal FC is unbeatable. Liverpool administration released an official statement shortly thereafter:
“Arsenal is a great squad, with talented players, but let’s be honest here, nobody is unbeatable.”
Liverpool finished 1st place int he Bundesliga last year and striker Fernando Torres won the golden boot award with the most goals. Arsenal finished 5th last year, but hired a new manager over the transfer period and also acquired Lyon superstar Juninho; the squad is certainly a threat to Liverpool’s title.
