  OFFICIAL: Ibrahimovic and Chiellini to Milan

  Milan has bid 174 points for the two Serie A superstars. Giorgio Chiellini of Juventus is in top form this year, and will most likely be headed to the San Siro. Ibrahimovic has been looked at by other clubs during the transfer period, thus a draw may be necessary to determine which team the swede striker goes to. For now, Milan is leading off wiht the first bid. Match day tomorrow at 8pm is the deadline for bids on January players who wish to play this weekend.

  OFFICIAL: DEL PIERO, TOTTI, ROBINHO, ADLER to Bayern Munchen

  It will surely be a deadly front and back side to this starting XI. Any team that has trouble holding back the deadly Del Piero, Toni, Totti, and Klose attack will surely not have any ease neeting a goal past the young German International keeper Rene Adler.

  Bayern Munich will have a difficult time adjusting to an ever changed league. Last year when the squad quit Milan and Lyon were powerhouse’s early in the 08 season. Today Arsenal and Man United lead, with Milan in last.

  Bayern has not played a match yet but has agreed to return this Sunday.

  League Match: Manchester United 3-1 Milan; Another come from behind win for the fabulous Manchester United, who were losing 1 nil to AC Milan at the half. A goal from Berbatov and two from Rooney shut down the Rossoneri, dishing the Milanese their fourth loss of the season.

  Ronaldinho scored a brilliant goal from the 18′ on a break, one of the few chances that Milan had against the strong back line of Rio Ferdinand, Vidic, Dani Alves and Patrice Evra who totaled 35 tackles on the day.

  Man U controlled the ball for a majority of the match though, and it eventually led to a Wayne Rooney goal int he beginning of the second half.

  Several more shots from Milan were put down by Van Der Sar, and the Manchester attack returned, netting another goal from Berbatov.

  Now down 2-1 in the 80′, efforts from David Villa and Kaka were attempted but not enough to beat the defense.

  In the 88′ Rooney scored his second goal, putting last years PC Champions and League semi finalists down to last place with no wins and four losses.

  Questionable talent like David Villa, Kaka, and DiNatale have not been producing, scoring only 2 goals in four league matches. Fans wonder what the next big move will be on the Milan bench: a new keeper? a new attacker? a replacement defender? or a different formation perhaps.

  On the other hand, all of Manchester United’s squad have produced brilliantly. The offense is averaging 1.7 goals per game with 15 shots per game, and the defense 23.6 tackles per game with a +1 goal differential. The team as a whole has an average of 74% passes completed per game.

  David Villa had an astounding hat trick tonight at Celtic park as Milan crushed the PPPCCC underdog Celtic FC 4-0.

  Man of the match Milan defender Kaka Kaladze did a brilliant job feeding the ball to a previously sub par attack, who scored double the goals Milan had going into tonight’s game.

  In the 16th minute David villa caught and buried a rebound off an Alexander Pato breakaway shot which rang off the post.

  Rebounds proved to be the thorn in Celtic keeper Artur Boruc’s side as another shot off the post was struck by Brazilian mastermind Kaka.

  The Celtic offense led by new acquisitions Samuel Eto’o and Thierry Henry not only failed to produce but dissipated after Milan’s 2 goal lead. Before the end of the half another long shot from Villa hit the underside of the crossbar and spun into the netting.

  Although Celtic looked strong initially this was by far Milan’s best performance of the season. Lacking offensive threat DiNatale and still producing four goals was a feat that even Milan did not expect to be achieved.

  Every aspect of Milan looked strong. Christian Abbiati had 5 saves in the first 20 minutes, quickly shutting down the Irish catholic attack. Andrea Pirlo played a great match, all his passes were prime, but he was unable to work the keeper in 2 crucial free kicks. Ronaldhinio provided brilliant set pieces from both sides of the pitch.

  Surely the praise is to be laid on the attack. In the 80′ David Villa scored his hat trick, a beautiful unassisted run across the midfield and into the box. Pato and Kaka were the perfect pair to support the Spaniard up front. Next week Milan face off against undefeated Liverpool and Celtic faces second place Lyon.

  League Match: Milan 1-3 Liverpool; Carlo Ancelotti’s may have something to worry about for his team in the Bundesliga this year. Il Diavolo have not obtained a single point in the league, losing the season opener to Chelsea and now to the more-than-talented Liverpool squad.

  

  Too bad Kaka. You got stuffed by Reina...

  80,000 Italians hungry for goals from newly acquired attackers DiNatale and David Villa were let down by the Rossoneri performance. Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina stole the show, making more saves than he made versus Milan through all last seasons matches combined.

  Liverpool started the match strong with lots of crisp passes. Shots from Liverpool forwards Robbie Keane and Fernando Torres kept Milan keeper Christian Abbiati on his toes, but the keeper could only hold so long. Keane finally broke the Milan defense early in the match.

  As Liverpool led, Milan played a powerful counterattack. Several plays which utilized the speed of the Italian offense gave breakaways to Villa, but the Spanierd was unable to finish and brilliantly stopped by Reina.

  Again minutes later, it would apear as if Milan would level the match, but the Brazilian magician Kaka was also stopped by Stonewall Reina.

  Finally an opening in the wall was set up by Liverpool’s defense when a chip pass gone wrong gave an opportunity for Villa to beat Reina, and that he did. Now level in the 33′ the game was sure to be a midfield battle-but that wasn’t the case.

  

  Gerrard didn't actualy score in this match. But it sure is an epic photo.

  The rest of the match followed a simple pattern. El Nino and Keane penetrated the net on one end, and Villa and Kaka at the other. The only difference was the Reina stopped 6 breaks from Milan, and 12 of 13 shots on target, while Abbiati stopped very few.

  Riera and Torres added additional goals which blew past the Milan keeper giving the Reds a wonderful 3-1 victory. Man of the match Stephen Gerrard and his midfield were able to clog the pitch for the remainder of the match, shuttign down the Villa-fied Milan offense.

  League match: Chelsea v. Milan 2-0, It was a sad day for the Rossoneri. Chelsea beat the Italians to a pulp, who had high expectations from new striker David Villa. The former Valencia striker cost the Milan bank a hefty penny, but came up short at Stamford Bridge.

  Michel Ballack blasted on past Milan goaltender Abiatti in the first half. The deafening shouts of blues chants broke any commiunication between the brazilian tag team, Dinho and Kaka, Milan is so boastful about.

  Offensive efforts were put to rest by the Automaton Keeper Petr-the-Formerly-Concussed-Czech-Cech, rightly so. It is commonly known that Cech only messes up in games that count (anyone who’s seen world cup 06, euro 08, or last years champions league final can tell you that).

  Milan said after the game, “Plan on seeing a goalie drafted this week!”

  Preseason clash: Chelsea v Milan 6-0; Salomon Kalou had a hat trick in this brutal battering of the most trophied team in sports history. Milan faced a turn for the worst when defender Paolo Maldini was booked twice and sent off. Chelsea striker Kalou took advantage of his first start over the usual Nicolas Anelka by booting two and heading one for his best performance of his career. Milan looked empty and disorganized in comparison to yesterday’s Lyon match. Chelsea’s Petr Cech had 9 saves in the shutout.

  Preseason clash: Lyon v Milan 0-0 (3-4 PEN); It was a tumultuous battle for early bragging rights at the Stade Gerland early Thursday evening, where the PPPCCC rivals brought an intensity that kept an empty scoreline for 120 minutes. Antony Reveillere and Fabio Grosso were both red carded in the heated matchup, which ended with Milan having the last strike. It was Abbiati who proved his worth to the club in only his fourth match of the preseason, when he saved the final penalty shot, ending any chance of an upset by the 9 men Les Gones. The Rossoneri hit the post three times during the match, and managed 13 shots on target. Hugo Lloris, another fresh faced keeper in the match, kept his team in the match with astounding saves; Lyon centre back Cris-who kept the defense looking somewhat organized- won man of the match with 15 balls won defensively. Milan’s offense looks as if it needs no additions this year, with a good form from the Italians Borrielo and Pirlo, and the Brazilians Ronaldinho and Kaka. This leaves other league members wondering: who will the Rossoneri draft this season?
